Default Sorry, I need to brag! - Part 2

Well, seeing as I did this last year, figured that I might as well keep the ball rolling on from this thread:
    http://www.gunsite.co.za/forums/show...I-need-to-brag!

Again, I can't really do this at work, and I don't have anyone at home to share it with... so again, so I need to do this somewhere where people will appreciate it - with my online family I suppose

I guess the fact that I have been single since New Year's has given me a little bit of free time (well, more than a bit), and allowed me to run amok with my obsessing with shooting?

I set myself some goals for this year.

    • Shoot all Club Matches
    • Shoot All Northern Gauteng Handgun League Matches
    • Shoot all three Handgun Nationals

In two weeks, unless something drastic occurs, the above three goals are done and dusted.

Another, which was high on the list, was to successfully defend my Standard Division Championship 'title' at my club (well, my one club. I am a member at two different clubs). For those who recall (or who wish to go back to read the previous thread), I had some concerns that my Championship status was somewhat 'lucky', and not completely deserved based simply on performance.

I also switched guns about 3 months ago... which gave me some concern about whether or not I could achieve that goal.

Well, goal achieved. In fact, I won a few Club Matches along the way in getting there (which also represents a first for me).

So, inclusive of the above, I received the following medals and trophies at our year-end function on Saturday:

    Bronze Medal, Winter Champs.
    Silver Medal, Summer Champs.
Man vs Man (Shootoff) trophy, Summer Champs.
    Club Champion, Standard Division.
Most improved Shooter... < Wow... this one is a biggie. What a surprise.

There were some other really big surprises along the way though, which did not feature into my planning at all!

It was with some surprise that I opened the official results from the Vektor Handgun League to find that I had finished top of the crop in the Northern Gauteng region for the shoot in Standard Division. Didn't see that coming at all...

Not even three weeks later, prior to the start of the first day of the third round of the Handgun Nationals, Craig (NGPSA Chairman) hands me a shirt and says "Welcome to the team. You are shooting for the Northern Gauteng Standard Division Team at this event"! DEFINITELY didn't see that one coming!

My personal life has seen a lot of lows this year... but my shooting life has seen a lot of highs. My buddies on the range, and\or the people that I just 'talk shooting' with have made the last year bearable, and dare I say even enjoyable

So, some words of thanks to the following people, be it just for being buds, or for words of support and encouragement... in no particular order. (Some are forum members, which is obvious by the use of Nics)

And anyone I may have forgotten in my haste to get this thread posted.

Well done, especially since you were shooting minor as far as I'm aware, would like to see the results if you run your Bul as fast and accurate.
