    Default Snake oil

Got this via email this morning.
Sounds like the "snake oil" sold in America during the late 1880's.

Charlotte's Web is a strain of medical marijuana that is high in cannabidiol (CBD) content but low in THC, ideal for people avoiding the psychoactive "high" effects of THC associated with Recreational Marijuana
.It does not get you high its 0.01% THC it is pure CBD 100% .

This Strain was named after a little girl name Charlotte in Colorado. She has epilepsy of a sort and she went from 300 seizures a week to one a week. She eats it in food and is now basically cured and can talk walk she is a normal kid.

if you have not watched the CNN Documentary on "Weed" by Dr Sanjay Gupta which explains the Charlotte web strain. Yes CNN!!...Please Google or YouTube it NOW!!!!!.

We regard Cannabis/Marijuana primarily as medicine. We honor its many properties, but we believe whole-heartedly in its power to heal and alleviate illness and suffering.

There are a variety of health conditions that cannabidiol (CBD) content has successfully treated for such a large number of people that the medical benefits of cannabis are largely undisputed. These conditions include depression, epilepsy, glaucoma, muscle spasms, the wasting syndrome caused by AIDS, Crohn’s disease, and the nausea and vomiting of chemotherapy patients.

Because certain varieties of medicinal cannabis effect both body and mind, patients have also used cannabis to treat conditions that seem to manifest holistically, such as addiction, anxiety, insomnia, and ADD

Charlotte's Web CBD-oil has been used to cure the following ailments:

    • Cancer(All Types)
    • Epilepsy/seizures

I have no knowledge of the above product (sounds like bs) but can confirm that several cancer patients have had major relief from cannabis oils - none of them were cured though, used to minimise the side effects of chemo.

It's not snake oil, it clearly says there, CBD-oil.

In seriousness, I think the claims are not unreasonable, right up to the point that the oil is mentioned. There is a lot to be said for the relief from discomfort that weed can provide, and how that improves a patient's recovery process.

On the other hand, to say that it "treats" or cures anything is a disingenuous, and to say that this oil cures cancer and MS is pretty offensive. That's preying on the desperate territory.

No. There is hard science behind the seizure relief thing.

I see it works for migraines. Gotta get me some weed-oil man. Just don't tell my rather conservative mom.

As I understand it, ingesting it as oil and smoking it is two different things. Not sure if the oil gives you a high like smoking it does, but I believe there are some science behind the claims that it provides symptomatic relief for certain ailments.

I know of a work colleague who uses it to control her daughters Seizures. And it is the only thing which works.

We must always expect allopathic drug company's to discredit and fight anything that they cannot make money from or that competes against them.
