Shooting without own FA
My SD application is in for my S&W M&P 9mm so I do not have access to my own firearm.
Are there any facilities in Durban (KZN) that will allow me to join and take part by borrowing a FA from the club for the duration of the meeting or do I have to wait until I have my own gun?
I would imagine that it must be possible...surely there are people who are applying for their first dedicated sports person licence who could not have possibly owned their own gun. You've got to take part, gain dedicated status prior to applying after all.
What division/class would a S&W M&P 9mm fall into?

M&P9 would be IDPA SSP. You could also shoot ESP with it.
You would need to find someone at the club willing to let you use their gun in the meantime. If you join and show genuine interest you may get lucky.

Thanks BigT. I'll contact Colt shooting club and see what they suggest and go from there.
