Default New to me air rifle

Yesterday I held in my hands for the first time in 45 odd years the air rifle of my youth, a BSA "Cadet" that we used as kids on the farm in Swaziland. It always belonged to my dad but we had the use of it. My dad decided it was time for me to have it, it is still in pristine condition and I was real chuffed.

Well today my dad decided that I should rather take the Webley Mark 3 as he no longer has the strength to operate the cocking lever. This rifle too is in pristine condition but may well need a new thrust washer. Any locally or must one source from the U.K.

    Cheers

Mze is a good source of information. I've not seen him on this forum for a while, so maybe a visit to airrifle.co.za would be advised.

Failing a commercial source, I used to make the washers out of leather, as that is what was used on many older guns.
I modified my newer Slavia 620 to take a leather washer, but the older 618 had leather as original.
I think that the older BSA's and Gecado's used leather as well.

    Hi Gary,

Should one be openly publishing personal contact details in public forums like this?
