A shop owner shot dead an alleged robber and wounded another at his bottle store in Watville, Benoni, Ekurhuleni police said on Wednesday.

The MyBB poster has access to the Sapa feeds (courtesy of MyBB), which is why he posted it directly and not from a newspaper.

I'm just confused - why will there be no charges against the shopowner? To all appearances he shot them as they have already left the shop. I'm glad for him, but this seems to be contrarary to the "defend life, not property" doctrine.

Same place as judge masipa seeing nothing wrong with having ammunition in your safe you don't have a license for.

Today again she proved this point. By judging the state cant appeal on her decision not to prosecute Oscar for having the ammunition.

She is kinda opening a lot of unwanted doors with this ruling.

I, and others, have said it before: private defence is not the only instance where one may use lethal force.

But surely lethal force may only be used to protect a life and not property. At least that's what the FCA states.
