remember me asking if this was dangerous ????????????????????. FUCKIT I know its only a .22 but a gorrilla Standard blew in the pistol today, fancy that so shortly after asking. Yes it is dangerous.
I had pieces of black gritty stuff in face - the right side pistol grip split and a hand with black blow out marks. Moer - i was thinking .22 pop -aah it blew out..............naaa boet it really blew out. If my face was rifle distance from chamber and not pistol arm length I dunno. Will try get photo of case and pistol grip. The wooden astra grip split top to bottom.

    Treeman, WOW.

All I can say is glad you are OK.

Dunno what I am going to do with the brick I have? I really do not feel like using it now.

Clearly there is an issue with this ammo.

As our intelligent friend above said - "wear goggles", I must get to storage and bring pistol in for photo, split the wooden grip top to bottom.

In photo you can see blow by past trigger on either side of trigger clearly on trigger finger. The line on middle finger is where it blew the grip off the metal after cracking it and gas escaped.

We can confirm 8 incidents with semi auto rifles and pistols with this brand and load in the last 2 months, similar failures (cases failing in feedramp area) but we also experienced complete rim separation where the head stamped base is completely blown out leaving the bullet and rest of the case in the chamber, a cleaning rod was used to push the bullet and remainder of the case out of the chamber. The second incident the bullet only traveled about 30mm down the barrel before the case failed violently, spewing shrapnel all over the shooting bay. The danger with that is the user may load another round and discharge it straight into the rear of the lodged round creating a catastrophic failure and severe injury. The third serious incident was complete case failure which damaged a pistol slide, thankfully it was covered by the GSG warranty and the pistol was repaired, the user was completely unharmed.

All our incidents/failure's were experienced with semi auto type firearms.
