Re: Durbanville SAPS
UPDATE: I just got off the phone with the CFR. My license was approved on Tuesday. The card is being printed in Bellville and should apparently be ready for collection on the 8th.
Total time from competency application to license approval: 4 months, 1 week (handed in the app on the 26th of January).

Re: Durbanville SAPS
Anyways, this should be the final update. I went to collect the gun yesterday and for good measure I bought a couple of boxes of birdshot for the weekend. I haven't been clay shooting in way too long.

Re: Durbanville SAPS
I thought I'd revive this thread instead of starting a new one.
On Friday I handed in two applications which are my first since moving to D/ville about a year ago.
The service was excellent. I am not sure what the Officer's surname is, her name is Officer Siphokazi. So friendly and efficient.
It was an absolute pleasure dealing with her and the officer at the pay office. :)

Re: Durbanville SAPS
No SMS yet. She showed me the stacks and stacks of amnesty applications that needs to be worked through before she even looks at my applications.
I asked her when was the last time they received any license cards. She said before lock down during February.
I guess all we can do is wait and be patient.
