Shotgun Reloading Wads
I am looking for a source of reloading wads in SA. Does anyone know who the manufacturers are and can you buy in bulk.
I know Cebelas have but they wont send to SA (embargo or something)
Cheers
Stan

Hotpower Arms - Krugersdorp - (011) 953 5006
Vally Trading - Wynberg - (011) 887 2201
Neo C - Witbank - 084 322 1149
Also try www.midsouthshooterssupply.com, they ship to SA but shipping is becoming very expensive.

Hi Stan
Where are you?
If you are looking at relatively small quants (say <5000), you can get from Suburban Guns in Plumstead, Cape Town. They are relatively cheap R30/1000, but obviously quite bulky (hence the question about your location) - road freight will add a bit to your overall cost.
Speak to Eddie on 021 797 8787.
DO you perhaps have a supply of large shot? I am looking for #1s.
All the best

You can also buy wads in bulk (4000 per box) from a company in Cape Town. I don't know what there name is now but it use to be Cellro Moundings. You can contact them on 021-9317303

Hi guys.
Can anyone help me with wads in the JHB/Pretoria area at the prices posted above, R30/1000? Also in relatively small quantities. I only really shoot back home in the Freestate but the local shops are charging 50-75c/wad so looking for a cheaper option.
Thanks in advance.

There just ain't no thing as a R30/1000 wad. Nowadays even R300/1000 is a good buy.

Apologies
Guys, my apologies for the red herring - it should have read "R300/1000" - it is my mistake and makes my calcs on the value of reloading for SGun look even more unattractive.
It is firmly in the arena of "specialist stuff only" - the general 7.5s for pigeons and clays will remain an over-the-counter buy for me, unless I get huge amounts of nearly free shot.
If you are the kind that likes to "roll your own" - the entertainment value of it may be worth your time. Reloading bench time is rare and is precious to me - so I will try to use it wisely!
