    Default BASA shoots

I attend the first BASA shoot of the year today, shooting my 404 Jeffery, it really is a great kind of exercise to shoot your big bore rifle under these pressure conditions. I really can recommend this type of activity , it surely is the nearest I will come to shoot a dangerous game animal ...but I like it ....this really is a place to get to know your rifle .....

Gert, is it really necessary for me to ask you for proof?

Ds.J, I really did some good shooting on the first range, but unfortunately did not think of asking some camera guru to take a few photos since it is not everyday I shoot such a good round ( actually to be honestest it never happens ...it seems I can see the orange color clays better than the targets with the buffaloes on it...it really is difficult to see the exact spot where you need to shoot the targets ...
    ..
I need to invest in better glasses , the problem being to focus on the v-express and the bead lining it up with the target is not possible since you can only focus on two point at a time....I am contemplating removing the v-express sight and add a ghost ring...I think I am going to do it with my .458 Mannlicher Shoenauer , I want to shoot the next BASA shooting competition with ths .458 Mannlicher Schoenauer...

My .375 H&H Magnum will be completed in the following two months, I want to take it with on the Black Powder hunt in May...

Good to hear from you again.

    Gert

Please don't take me too seriously! I don't have shooting photo's either.

I have close to zero experience with big bores, but the idea of a ghost sight is really appealing. The ghost rings and similar sight that I handled were very fast on the target.
