Default Terror at the Mall Documentary

I have just watched a documentary about the Kenyan Mall attack. What was very interesting was the initial "rescue" of many hostages was undertaken by a few police and two civilians. The civilians only had handguns with 14 rounds. My take on the incident is that had the civilians not intervened many more lives could have been lost. Whilst Al Shibab might not have there sights on South African malls it's not impossible that we could be vulnerable in the future. Four armed men took the lives of about 60 civilians. I can't say for sure but possibly armed robbers at the malls come in greater numbers and are just as well armed. I may not have the balls to take out armed robbers but I certainly would like to have the tools to make the choice.

That would be plain clothed police,as firearms in civilian hands are not allowed in Kenya.

Their military were standing around outside with proper hardware for what looked like hours too scared to go in! What a pity! Very sad so see such indecision from them or rather cowardice.

Exactly and then decided to rather level the place with a bazooka or something of that nature than face 2 attackers! It's absolutely ridiculous!
