Re: Silent Hunter silencers
I'm very impressed with mine. Used it on my 30-06 and a buddy used it on his 300 Weatherby Mag. That 300 kicks like a mule, but the silencer makes it manageable.

Re: Silent Hunter silencers
Good man, what about the sound? How much noise does it reduce?

Re: Silent Hunter silencers
I recieved mine yesterday, this is the Huntbuddy "on steroids", slightly bigger than the regular Huntbuddy, with 2 extra chambers, but smaller than the 10 chamber model. Will give feedback once tested.[/URL]"]http://

Nice boet you going to love your silent hunter! My mate has one and he swear by it but I'm still not ready to cut threads in my barrels.

Re: Silent Hunter silencers
I just bought myself a standard silent hunter with the 10 baffles. Still have to get it fitted to my .270win.
In a article in the sa hunter i saw that the guys talk about a speed increase. I want to know what kind of increase can i expect, and does the extra speed mean that I am building up more pressure in the rifle chamber (don't think it should). In other words must I lighten my loads to bring the speed down again, or can i just say thanks for the extra bit of vooma.

Re: Silent Hunter silencers
The velocity increase will be nothing of mention and no it will not affect chamber pressure. In effect you have lengthened the barrel by a tiny tiny bit.
