Default Lost ancient bow-shooting techniques demonstrated.

I do not know anything about bow shooting, but this looks impressive!
Watch the video in the article.

Edit: Here's the video, telling the whole story.

After watching that video the next recommended video on you tube was this one:

Yep. If you look up fake in the dictionary, the definition will contain a link to that video. ;)

Entertaining trick shooting, but definitely not what it makes itself out to be:

AshleyR, the quotes in the snopes piece are straight from what Anderson has written as comment on his own video, if you watch it straight on U-tube. It is not as if he is trying to hide the fact that most of the feats in the video took numerous takes to accomplish.
And then the snopes piece ends with:
"Lars Andersen may have used some tricks in his "A New Level of Archery" video, but it does not appear the result has been digitally manipulated."

Atunguyd, I also saw that 'sceptic' video, and watched the first 5 minutes of it, but it came across as a bit long winded and nit-picking.

Daan the sceptic video is also interesting. I don't have an opinion on this Lars chap either way since I had never heard of him before but the first video did feel a bit too "ra ra" for my tastes.

Having watched both videos, I am trying to brush aside the bickering and focus on the common themes I note between archery and pistol shooting:

    1. Minimisation of movement equals faster execution (common sense optimisation)
    2. Archery is about what works. (common sense pragmatism)
    3. Consistency is important (unless you are consistently shit at hitting anything)

So it happens there's a single word in the English language which conveys the above idea - efficiency.

Can Lars shoot 3 arrows under 1 second? Yes he can - see the video.
Can he do it 20/20 times? We don't know.
How much time&effort did he invest to become this proficient? Probably way more than I invested to achieve same efficiency with a pistol.

    What works etc.

It is kinda like Bob Munden saying his shooting was the same as the lost art of Li Tings soldiers.

Can Lars shoot ? Sure. Mist of what he claims is embellishment at best, outright lies or fabrication at worst.

It is fancy trick shooting that has very little practical value. It is cool and requires great skill.

Not wanting to criticize or make remarks , I would really like to shoot my traditional bow the way this person shoot his bow, I noticed a difference in draw strength between his bow and my 45 draw strength bow....I think it would be difficult to manipulate my reflex /deflex self bow the way he handle his bow...second thought ....maybe not possible at all...or rather let me put it this way...if I can do what this person do with his bow I am sure my bow will be re-classified as a traditional weapon....
