Default Speer Gold Dots - 40S&W

What do you think is better, 155gr or 180gr?

    155gr .... although my personal preference would be for 124gr ;) ;D

180 deepest penetration better shot to shot recovery. Excellent expansion. Better performance thorough barriers especially glass.

According to testing done by Dr. Gary K. Roberts, both loads "demonstrate outstanding terminal performance and can be considered acceptable for duty/self-defense use". The 155gr runs at about 1200fps out of my G22 and the 180gr is quite hot for it's weight also, about 1050fps IIRC. The 155gr feels hardcore (cool) and the 180gr slightly tamer to shoot. The importance of the differences between these two loads has been lost to me. Both are good.

Thorkind is right. I would gladly carry any of the three but my preferance is the 180.
