CFR Complaints
Hi Guys
Does anyone have a working number for either the head of CFR or someone handling complaints.
They have managed to lose my applications, or they are just giving me the runaround.
Thanks

Re: CFR Complaints
Hi Steve
I tried that and all they did was put the phone down. Tried calling back but was on hold for more than 30minutes before the call cut off again.

Re: CFR Complaints
You could also try calling 011 497 7227. I normally follow up on the status of my license apps there, but perhaps they could also transfer you to the correct department. They have always been friendly to me and I never had nonsense on that number.

Re: CFR Complaints
They say they never received it from provincial. But provincial showed me the forwarding schedule.

Re: CFR Complaints
Last year November I applied for a Shadow and Shield. Same day.
Shadow I also gave in a 518 Temp license.
In December. It kept showing send from CPT Provincial to CFR.
But CFR said not on their side. Kept saying but if the truck came up.
Surely it must be on that side.
The shield in this time kept showing at station.
I eventually got to talk to a Col Skakhani at CFR. Who does Western Cape on a Thursday.
Explained to her.
Friday Morning when I phoned both were approved.

Re: CFR Complaints
Just rather reapply, worst case from DFO to Provinical = 2 weeks +-
Provincial to CFR = 1,5 weeks +-
You going to waste time longer on finding it,and then lose time when you could have already re-submitted it

CFR Complaints
Jip I think we all got horror stories here... CFR is giving me guff about a semi auto shottie. Apparently they want a gunsmith report on this brand new unaltered FA cos they dont know what it is, even though it shows correctly on their system. Luckily Paul from Tac Shac got them to resubmit... And luckily he gave me the PAJA form to go along with it otherwise they might have just refused the license... So.... Here's to another 4 flipping months...
I know we are supposed to take hands with the police but its rather difficult when the drones at CFR have clammy, limp, cold and incompetent hands... I really wish the process was a little more transparent.

Re: CFR Complaints
I have sent a strongly worded email to the national commissioner telling her that her departments are useless. I f I do not hear back from her office I will go public with the emails which will put her in a very bad light
