    Default Shoot-out Krugersdorp II

The two hijackers shot in Ontdekkers, then the elderly gentleman that shot the car thief on Saturday, and now this:

"Johannesburg - A man was killed and two other people injured during a house robbery in Kenmare, Krugersdorp, where the community rallied to help stop the suspects from getting away, Gauteng police said on Wednesday.

On Tuesday night, three people, aged between 32 and 34, broke into a house in the suburb of Kenmare and held up the occupants, Captain Tsekiso Mofokeng said.
The robbers took the keys to a Mercedes-Benz and a scuffle ensued between the group and the people living in the house.

Shots were fired and a 32-year-old woman was injured.

"The community mobilised after hearing gunshot sounds and managed to block the suspects at corner Meath and Lismore streets," Mofokeng said.

"The suspects fired shots towards the community and members of the community retaliated and fired back."

One of the robbers was killed and a second one injured. The third person was not hurt and he and his injured accomplice were arrested on the scene.

Mofokeng said three firearms with live ammunition, the Mercedes-Benz and a silver BMW were recovered."

Brakpan is starting to look very tame compared to the guys from Krugersdorp. Stern warning to criminals, we fight back and will kill you!

    Good on them!

Nice to see an ARMED community mobilizing to fight back, good for them.

I do hope SAPS take the same view, all to often as soon as the community stand up they do their best to stomp them down.

If you read the last post on the news 24 site it would appear that the journalist got the story completely cocked up. Appears as if it was an attempted hijacking and the dead BG may have been shot by one of the other BG's.

    You are right Dale SH;
Below is the more recent version.

    But:
The hijacking foiled, one of the three dead, the other two apprehended by the CPF.
And nobody have to hand in their firearm for ballistic testing.
A clear win for the community!

"One suspect was killed last night, 28 April, following an alleged botched hijacking attempt in Kenmare and not two as previously reported.

Henry Carson, Chairman of Sector 8 Community Policing Forum (CPF) confirmed that the sector was notified of the incident after 8pm which happened on the corner of Meath and Lismore Street.

“The owner got home when a vehicle blockaded his driveway, he immediately and with force reversed, hitting the suspect’s car. He managed to drive away.”

Carson said the damage to the car was to such an extent that the three suspects fled the scene on foot.
“They at first fired a few gunshots, which was also directed at the victim.”

Members of the CPF heard the gunshots and immediately investigated.

“The suspects fired a gunshot in the direction of another resident and a few towards the patrollers,” Carson said.
Somehow one of the suspects was shot by, what is still speculation, one of the other suspects.

“We found him dead in Biddy Street, the other two suspects were caught in close proximity from each other.”
Carson said he wants to thank his patrollers and the police for their swift work in catching and ultimately arresting the remaining two suspects."
