Default PPSC This Last Week-end - awesome

Not sure how many Forum members were at PPSC's ranges for their annual competition (previously called the 'Holiday Inn'). It has four categories - centre-fire rifle (two ranges, 200m and 265m), rim-fire rifle (20m, 25m statics and 50m running boar), shotgun (3 rounds sporting on 3 different ranges) and handgun (barricades, running man, etc.).
A great get-together and also a great eye-opener. It brings to mind the old military adage - "In combat, one's performance does not rise to the level of your expectations, it drops to the level of your training".
Thanks PPSC guys, it was great.

It was indeed a great weekend! Thanks to all for the organization. Where else can you shoot 35 .22 rounds, 40 .308 rounds, 150 handgun rounds and 75 clays for only R500 entry fee.

And I won a beautiful brass clock for - comming stone last of all the shooters who participated in all 4 disciplines.

And yes, Ray Bold was there and so was his hard working wife, Maggie.

Yup Rick. Spent a lot of time with Ray and Maggie. Both well but, like us, not getting any younger
They had the original Holidays Inn cup there and also pics on the wall. Messrs Carsons, Guthrie, Levine and many others in evidence. A great time.

A fond memory from way back at the Holiday Inns shoot many years ago. Terry Smith from Nelspruit shooting a .375 Brno next to Mervyn Ullman shooting a .223 Bolt action. Every time Terry fired Merv's gun went off. Man was he pissed!
