PE woman shoots at intruders

Police are investigating a case of house robbery after an incident in Brahms Avenue, Pari Park.

Labans says a 39 year old woman heard noises in her home in the early hours of Tuesday morning and went to investigate.

He says the woman, who had armed herself with a firearm, came across two men and ordered them to stop in their tracks.

When they advanced - she started shooting in their direction.

Labans says the suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of money, the woman's purse and bank cards.
No arrests have been made.

Makes you wonder why they advanced on her, doesn't it? Pretty much already gathered their spoils.

Exactly, she obviously defended herself form serious harm.

But the mindset of the criminals, even under fire they still stole her belongings, fokkit.

I suppose when you are already running away, holding on to that purse isn't going to slow you down too much.

Why are the bank cards, money and purse (plus laptop + camera etc) not in her bedroom with her, and the door locked or a security gate installed? Do not go and investigate noises, except if some of your kids or loved ones are sleeping in bedrooms in the same direction.
