    Default C123 batteries?

Where is the best place for them? Since my main lights are all now 18690's I've been neglecting my battery replacement schedule. I now need 3 for my 9P, 2 for my G2, 2 for my PTL2, one each for 2 PTL1's and 2 for a pistol light.

Buying them at Checkers price is going to hurt. Where has them (and good ones) for a good price?

    Hailstorm has Surefire CR123 batteries.

Around R36 p/batt afaik (but check with the store) - lots in stock. Retail sales only.

Genuine 10 year shelf life and USA manufactured.

We recommned the use of the best quality CR123 battries in the high end lights as suggested by Surefire and Elzetta.

We also just received some stock of VARTA batteries (CR123, CR2032, D cell, AA, 9v). It is very interesting that VARTA specifies 10 year shelf life on their alkaline batteries and 15 years on lithiums. We will be stocking VARTA regularly in the popular battery sizes.

Bought rechargeable CR123 @ Long Beach Mall pharmacy not so long ago, 2 batteries plus charger was under R300. They have been working in my EDC flash light and last longer than the alkaline ones.

CR123 does not have an alkaline version. CR123 is a lithium battery and the rechargeable CR123 will not last as long and give anywhere close the same power curve as a CR123 3v in any of the high output tac lights.

I have some SF rechargeables. They are currently residing in my shotgun light and they seem to be taking the abuse quite well, they hold a decent charge (can't even remember when I charged them) and they weren't too expensive. But my shotgun is a range toy so I'm ok with the lower output.

None of my CR123 lights are my primary light any more so I could probably get away with using them but I like my Surefire and (IIRC) Duracell batteries.
