Franchi price?
Ok guys I know there was a Franchi that went for cheap in the for sale section a couple of days ago but today I went and looked at a Franchi semi which was basically new and the guy wanted R6500. Is it too much? It didnt have an extension on it but I could get one he had with the deal.
So what do you guys think?

As I mentioned in the other thread I you are starting out you are better off getting a cheaper pump action and spend the rest on ammo.

What price range do you advise me to look at. And by the way when I lived in america my Dad had a Mossberg and I did shoot alot of 410. The 410 was shot during hunting and when we went to state fairs all the shooting games where done with 410's and they where me and my brothers favorite games.

I would get something like that Maverick you looked at. Spend the rest of the purchase price of the Franchi on ammo. When you aren't winning because of your gun , not the operator then look at upgrading.
But that's just me.

Pitstol Boy, it depends on what you want to use the shotgun for. I bought a semi cause in SAPSA 3 gun standard class pump actions compete head to head with semis.
As fast as you think you can pump, you have no chance on short speed stages against a semi !!
Semis can be very ammo sensitive and need to be well lubricated and cleaned. Pumps JUST WORK, so if you are going to use it for SD, get a pump. A pump is also more suitable for African hunting conditions.Last edited by KZ45; 10-02-2010 at 08:43.

there are different types of semi's and gas vs recoil and variants in each.
the browning hump back and my franchi gas are guns of different semi mechanisms but each very reliable.
