What a great competition. Congrats to Staffy for a well deserved win and a big thank you for Camo, Dirk777, Mag and Grant for running the day and keeping the show on the road.

To all those that competed, it was a pleasure and honor to shoot with and against you. I'm tired, a bit stiff but feeling good!

The day began with a quick prayer and comprehensive safety/medical briefing. No one wanted the day to be ruined by any injury or disqualification.

    1st Stage: The Hike

A 1.5km hike which ended at the 200m shooting line. Targets would be a paper plate stapled on a humanoid backing.
The competitors set off at a brisk walk and even a jog. By half way though they had thinned to a line on the horizon. The hike was designed to take the competitors through trackless veld, the last 300m being walked on a freshly ploughed firebreak.
The blokes had started with empty chambers/safety on and a magazine loaded with only 5 rounds. (The Magazine was marked with yellow tape, any other mag used would result in a stage DQ)

The competitor then had to shoot the 5 rounds at their target and then, leaving the rifle on the firing line, rush to cross the finish line. Times were marked on their hand as they finished.

Newy entered the firing line in 15:01 minutes first followed shortly by Honey Badger @15:34. The last competitor to cross the line did so at 20.46minutes.

Scoring was Time in seconds less hits on target (x40). Lowest score wins
