Design a bracket to attach to your mountain bike. Let tub rotate on wheel. Now you have a use for that expensive toy.

So my biggest question with DIY tumblers that I have seen (beside those that use a belt, specifically those that attach the drum/bottle directly to the motor) is how do you guys attach the motor to the drum? IS there a specific method or do you just glue it on?

What I did was to weld a nut onto the back of a socket. The nut crews onto the wiper motor. I also reversed the direction of the motor so that it continually keeps the nut tight (if you know what I mean.....). The drum has a bolt which is long enough to accommodate two nuts which then serves to ensure the bolt does not loosen on the drum while giving enough reach to fit into the socket.

The thing is my motor has a smooth end piece. Will see for a wiper motor but atm its smooth so it means i need weld something onto it.

Solved the problem. The transformer was woefully inadequate so I replaced the it to a 200W 220V to 12V and that seems to have solved the issue.....

SS pins you can get from Safari and Outdoor bt they are expensive. You can get the way cheaper SS ball media from the group buys in one of the other threads. Need to split up a 25kg (if im right).

Just heads up using SS ball media, you have to deprime before tumbling otherwise the media (the same consistency as rough sands) gets caught in the spent primer and spills all over your press during depriming.

I will see if I can get the pins from the jewelry supplier mentioned. I sommer use my 270 die to decap the 40 S&W cases before cleaning. Fits perfectly in there without touching the case itself. No need for universal decapper. Issue will be doing the same for the 270 cases.
