Any more opinions on this rifle? I'm looking for a cheap 22 and I saw this one at Zimbi for R3500

I bought one in December from the Co-Op in Humansdorp for R1000 brand new. They had a major special on. Might still have stock. Still waiting on my licence but I figure you can't go wrong with a price like that.

Hopefully co-op has them at huntex ec, my local gs only had the one and it wasn't there very long.

I really need a cheap 22.

I have the M14P. Also a. 22LR. Nice rifle for the price. Does what it was intended to.

planning to fit a bipod and scope as it is a bit heavy for the kids.

Didn't like the brown painted wood stock so sanded it down.... Has a nice phillipines hardwood underneath. Not sure if I am just going to stain and seal or make it black like my original intention was.

Now just need to find a dealer that has spare magazines as it only came with 1 10 rounder.

My LGS had some spare mags in stock for the princely sum of R700 each. Compare that to the selling prive of these rifles, it is not quite a bargain.

Incidentally the mags are identical to a much older Bingham Squires semi-auto mag that I have handled.
