Nope, this is from a box of 1000, loaded 700 from the same box without issue. Thats whats worrying me.

What colour is the paper on the inside?
Have you not over seated them?

How often do you clean the primer pockets? Could also be that the primers are not seated deep enough.

Not seating the primer deep enough often results in light strikes

    Heres some pics.

    Primer pockets were not cleaned.

I case gauge every bullet and check for high primers, I highly doubt that it is a high primer issue. I tried shooting these bullets out twice at the range.

How do you check if you have seated a primer too deep?

From Dillon Precision. 0.002" - 0.009” below flush.

If the rounds fires when you try it again, chances are that the primers are not seated deep enough.

Could also be that your firing pin spring is failing.

Are these both misfires from the same gun?

Went through most of my 2019 shooting season with light strikes

    Murom Competition
    S&B
    Ginex
    Winchester
    Fiocchi

Got both my Shadow SP01's with extended firing pins, new springs all round and a week with Rescomp and it still persisted at nationals

Started this year by not seating my primers below flush with the case rim. Problems gone. All of the above primers working without an issue

To add: I used to put significant force into seating primers on my 650, making sure they were seated. My thinking was that over seating the primer can also mean the firing pin isn't getting enough contact on the primer. Never clean primer pockets...

Any half decent pistol should not give a rats backside about any minor variation in primer seating depth short of sticking out so far that the slide wont close.A competition pistol set up with all kinds of weird springs and things I can understand plus I have known enough fools over the years who just love to fiddle and cut springs etc.Never had a problem with S&B primers not now not ever, well except for the mix up with the rifle primers in the 9mm. In my defence the box looks basically the same

Also using a 650 and I also make SURE primers are seated properly. Going to go a bit lighter on the next batch and see.
