If I remember correct it was against BGB, when the Ex FFL was siding UNiTA as mercs. Reference in Col Breytenbach's book Buffulo Soldiers or Col Du Preez's book Avontuur in Angola.

In 1986; 1987 I know of ex FFL members fighting on the SADF side. I don't know in what capacity they used.

Think its in Col Du Preez's book. Col Jan's book does not indicate it in the index and the other does not have a index.

So they where ex FFL members.In a other thread in the Speakers corner,SA cuba formalize de-fence cooperation,there is mention of FFL in a anti- tank capacity,they dit not say for SADF or Unita,or that they where ex FFL.

Either in Col Breytenbach's or Peter stiff's books (maybe both) the SADF were in firefights against, or took prisoner, some french speaking mercs.
