For those wondering the 308 Nobleteq ammo is steel cased and berdan primed. Are they even reloads then and not just straight up rebranded? Just asking...

They do de-milling contracts. Strictly they have to pull all the bullets and reload as far as I know.

I have a bunch of their .223 which they de-milled with varying degrees of success. Most of it is reloaded too hot or with too much of a crimp resulting in overpressure issues.

I pull all of that and reload it myself.

The only issue with reloading steel cases really is in the re-sizing step. This stuff isn't re-sized because it hasn't been fired in the first place. Its probably just as easy to de-mil steel as it is brass.

What is de-milling? Removing the bullet and powder?

Cases also needs to be separated during reloading as the 762 NATO brass is thicker than 308 Win. If you use your powder charge for 308 WIN into a 762 NATO case, it might cause excess pressure.

Here is a great article explaining the difference.

While it is true what you say, also keep in mind that 7,62 NATO is loaded to a specific MV, usually 2700 fps from a 21" FAL. At this MV, most of the ammo only develops 55 000 PSI.

The same should hold for 308 Win factory ammo. It is not loaded to the absolute max pressure limit. Most likely it will measure at less than 60 000 PSI from a test barrel. Some recent lots of PMP may be the exception.

    Hi everyone.

I'm looking at getting some Nobelteq 9mm anmo for the range. I've only used S&B and ZVS (prefer the latter) for the range.

Are the recent nobelteq's any good? 124gr under R200 per 50

If you have a bullet puller and a lot of time and you can get locally reloaded / re-manufactured (As in loaded by people you don't know) ammo for a good price, yes go for it. If you are going to shoot it in your gun however I would be cautious...

Because you have no control, input or feedback from or about the re-loader or the reloading.
No one ever tell you you do not shoot another mans reload, no one ever ??

You can get S&B, ZVS, American eagle, sig Sauer, Winchester, etc for around R220 if you look around.
This is Brand new, factory loaded ammo you can count on.

Nobelteq is reloaded ammo, by lowest wage workers, who are inconsistent. The guy might overcharge or undercharge the ammo. Both are a screw up.

If you want to shoot cheap, learn to reload your own ammo. You have exact control.
