Man shoots would-be robber, two flee

JOHANNEBSURG - A robber has been shot and wounded by his intended victim at the Festival Mall in Kempton Park on Gauteng’s East Rand.

Police say three suspects approached the man and smashed his car window, thinking he had withdrawn a large sum of money from the bank.
The victim, who had already given the cash to a colleague, was armed.
He shot and wounded one of the suspects before the remaining two fled the scene.
Police spokesperson Jethro Mtshali says officers are searching for the remaining suspects.
“The suspects apparently thought the money was in his possession. One of the suspects apparently smashed his car window and tried to grab the victim.”

Good one, moving the money was a good idea, but still he was putting himself in harms way, but still well done at getting himself out of the kak.

Also, sad that the bloke now has to surrender his firearm for a few months. Not only does he have the trauma of being attacked by a savage like this, but now he is disarmed by those who failed to protect him.
