Re: Whats wrong with Savage Rifles?
they like a fat chick that no one informed so - wearing those elastic tight pants things, it all still works, maybe even well - but you would prefer not too.

Re: Whats wrong with Savage Rifles?
Hi,
I bought the wife a Savage Axis Muddy Girl .223 Rem - what a nice rifle. Although pink camo, I don't mind taking it to the range. Always a conversation starter... Only thing I didn't like was plastic safety - but that lasted 5 min. Got the bolt polished, and did some trigger work at ARMS. Accurate and low recoil.
I recon Savage is like the Howa (have one in .308) Everyone said is was crap for being cheap, but eventually everyone came around.
my 5c's worth...

Re: Whats wrong with Savage Rifles?
I Actually really like them. I bought a Predator Hunter two months ago and cannot wait for the licence to come through. I LOVE the BEAR HUNTER models just as much. Would not say no to that in 300WSM.
They are reasonably priced and very accurate!
And beauty is in the eye of the Holder!

Re: Whats wrong with Savage Rifles?
Savage's AccuTrigger is one of the best triggers I've ever had the pleasure of pulling. Never fired a rifle, but the trigger and the price makes the rifle's looks worth it, IMO. It's a bummer that the cheaper ones doesn't have the AccuTrigger, but they're still great rifles. It's the same as Howa - people said when they arrived that it's a cheap, crap, knockoff rifle, yet they take thousands of game annually without issue.

Re: Whats wrong with Savage Rifles?
We actually looked at them last weekend at S&O, the sales gentleman said that they are some of the most accurate rifles off the shelve.
He also mentioned that there are a few Savage employees that travels to the different countries where they are sold. The walk into the shop, take a Savage off the shelve and head to the range. They invite a few peolple to tag along and if your STANDARD rifle gives a better grouping you can have the Savage..., apparently...they say...
