Resident shoots and kills 2 armed intruders - at about 04h20 three suspects wearing balaclavas broke into a home on Swartberg Street, Glenvista and made their way into the bedroom where the owners of the house were asleep.
The intruders shouted at the couple that they were going to shoot them at which stage the wife reached for her licensed firearm under her pillow and shot 2 intruders - both died on scene. 1 died in the bedroom and the other just outside the front door of th...e premises. The third suspect managed to escape and CPF launched a search for him to no avail.
Both intruders were armed and police have recovered 2 firearms belonging to the suspects. Mondeor SAPS, CPF and VSU on scene. Suspects had cable ties with them and seems were intent on tying the residents up.
