Update :
Members I am picking up this project again. I ordered myself a .500 Jeffery Barrel from Eagle Barrels Frans Odendaal near Potchefstroom.
Barrel specifications :
Barrel length : 22" inch
Length of knox :106mm
Diameter of muzzle : 22 mm diameter

Action: Mauser MOD 98

Rifle Stock : Dense American Black Wall nut
I will be building the magazine box and hinged bottom plate myself to accommodate 3x .500 Jeffery rounds in magazine and one up in the chamber.

Daan , yes, I have been busy to fit jojo tanks to harvest rain water .I sank a bore hole to ensure my independence on municipality water. I am currently planning a Solar HI bride system, 1 x 10kva Hibrid inverter Dye product. 2 x 5kva Solar batteries and 14 x Canadian 550watt solar panels.

In regards to rifles:
The 6.5x55 Swedish Mauser barreld action will be fitted on a AIM Chassis. The chassis is nearly completed.
I decided not to build the wall nut stock anymore..

The 8x68S will still be build like a classic rifle .The steel work is completed already, only the wood stock needs to be completed .

I am in the process to commence with the .500 Jeffery action and magazine box . The barrel is complete .
