    Thumbs up Wharncliffe fighter

    Hi Khumba

Interesting post and interesting knife. I have always thought of a shorter wharnecliffe as absolutely a utility knife with a naval lineage. However, here you present us with a sharply pointed wharncliffe re-born as a fighter.

The more I look at the pic, the more I am reminded of a Saxon scramasax (seax) - and that was a fighter for sure (though much bigger and with more heft).

With the absence of any curvature to the cutting edge, the Suarez probably loses a bit on the slash. But by the look of it, this is amply compensated for by its enhanced thrusting effectiveness, and that point probably also makes it very effective in raking techniques.

    Nice knife! Thanks for sharing.
