Re: Bullet performance data base
The Woodleigh is shocking. Especially for an FMJ! I recently hunted with a PH who said he stopped using them on dangerous game due to them being too soft.
That 300gr from the 375 looks perfect! I’m not familiar with Safari Bullet Company. Are they available in SA?

Re: Bullet performance data base
That is poor performance from the woodleigh, not expected, saw many recovered bullets from the guys down under shooting water buffalo with much better results. Doubt we will see new stock in SA anytime soon, the factory had a very bad fire and production did not yet start again.

Re: Bullet performance data base
7mm Remington Magnum.
Nosler Factory ammo.
160gr Nosler Accubond at 2900fps.
Big eland bull at ±200m.
Bullet hit high and slightly forward, breaking the scapula before penetrating the tops of the lungs. The eland expired but it took several minutes. The hunter could not fire a follow up shot as the bull was standing in a thick bush after first shot. I was not present at this hunt but spoke to both hunter and PH after seeing bullet.
Retained weight 53.0gr (33.1%)
