Re: Bullet performance data base
@TStone, that trajectory effective mimics the 9.3 with 230gr Peregrines, and iirc the 30-06 with 180gr bullets will be very similar. With a standard Plex reticle at 9x magnification its effectively zeroed at 200m and right on the edge of the thick line at 300m.

A 103gr 6mm ELD-X bullet recovered from a blesbuck.
6mm Creedmoor at 2900fps.
Range ±150m.
Blesbuck ram quartering away. Bullet hit high behind shoulder, broke the spine and was recovered on the opposite side where it was poking out of the skin on the neck.

Re: Bullet performance data base
Springbok ewe shot with a 140gn Hornady Match bullet at 320m from a 6.5 Creedmoor. There's a reason you don't use match bullets for hunting.

Re: Bullet performance data base
Impala shot at 50m with my 6x45 using SBC 85gr at 2650 fps
Impala was quartering too, Bullet hit on the left shoulder, hit top of heart, went through the ribs on opposite side and stopped under the skin.
