    180gr Norma Oryx shot from a 30.06 at 2500 ft/s muzzle velocity into a large eland cow at 205m

    Bullet hit a rib going in, destroyed the heart, hit a rib on the way out and was recovered under the skin

    140gr Sierra Game Changer, 6.5 Creedmoor @ ±2700fps. Red Hartebeest bull, broadside @ ±280m. Entry Behind shoulder, bullet recovered under skin of opposite shoulder. Retained weight (both pieces together) 70.9gr (50.6%)

    140gr Sierra Game Changer, 6.5 Creedmoor @ ±2700fps. Warthog @ 177m, slightly angling towards shot. Bullet hit on shoulder, jacket recovered under skin opposite side stomach. Retained weight 36.2gr (23.3%).

    140gr Nosler Ballistic Tip. 6.5 Creedmoor @ ±2500fps. Blue wildebeest cow @ ±300m. Broadside, entry on shoulder, bullet recovered under skin opposite side. Retained weight 81.9gr (58.5%).

    140gr Nosler Ballistic Tip @ ±2500fps. Sub adult red hartebeest bull @ 280m. Broadside, shot behind shoulder. Jacket recovered under skin, opposite shoulder. The core completely penetrated and exited. Retained weight 60.5gr (43.2%)

    Note that I do not necessarily recommend the above bullets, or caliber, for hunting the larger antelope. However, I do get enquiries about these bullets and thought that actual field results might be of interest.

    270gr Peregrine VLR4 (Rangemaster bullet) from .375 H&H @ ±2600fps. Kudu bull. Recovery shot at wounded animal @ ±50m. The bull was walking towards me at an angle (almost full frontal shot). Bullet broke left shoulder, penetrated diagonally through the kudu (carcass weight 150kg), broke the right femur and was recovered in right hind leg. Recovered weight 261.3gr (96.8%)

    At that speed and distance, I would have expected the Peregrine to open more. What will it do at 200m at a slower velocity?
