Shot a kudu cow (dressed weight 104kg).
Howa .308
Federal Fushion 180gr Factory ammo.

Kudu was quartering away from me and the bullet entered ribs behind front quarter and was recovered under the skin on opposite shoulder.

Recovered bullet weight was just over 170gr. (Loss of about 5%)

I have shot Kudu with a few different bullets in 300WM - all broad side shots unless stated otherwise, (velocity measured 5m from muzzle):

3x 180gr GameKing, no bullet(s) recovered @ 2840ft/s 180m - 260m
2x 220gr PMP SN, no bullet(s) recovered @ +-2550ft/s 20m, 60m (**Brain shots)
1x 180gr PMP Bluebox Factory ammo, no bullet recovered @ 2940ft/s +-100m
2x 180gr Hornady SST, 1 bullet recovered @ 2670ft/s 180m 73% weight retention, bullet still intact and with good mushroom. Will post pic when I find the bullet again. (bullet from +-150m shot not recovered)

1 x bushpig with 220gr PMP SN, no bullet recovered @ +-2550ft/s 60m

1 x Kudu with 303Brit, 174gr PMP Factory ammo, Brown box. No bullet recovered. 120m

Is it possible some one took a round out to view, dropped it and then put it back in the box?

Maybe happened at the gun shop. As I own 320's I don't drop guns or ammo. I have another box and it seems it's 2 rounds in the box that's open. The other box looks good to me.

Are the rounds boxed in a way that their tips are pressing against a surface and the rounds able to move?
What force will it take to press a brass plunger into a copper bullet?

Shot a kudu bull as well with same load at 60m
Bullet looked like first one (just the cup)
Massive meat damage but we forgot the remains of the bullet on the farm.
