Huiseienaar skiet rower dood

Johannesburg - 'n Vermeende rower is doodgeskiet ná hy en drie makkers bande van 'n motor in Boksburg gesteel en die huiseienaar hom geskiet het.

Kapt. Mack Mngomezulu, 'n polisiewoordvoerder, het gesê die mans wou omstreeks 03:00 die bande van 'n motor by 'n huis in Boksburg-Noord steel.

"Die huiseienaar het uitgegaan om ondersoek in te stel en een van die rowers het op hom geskiet. Hy het teruggevuur en een van hulle raakgeskiet."

Die drie ander mans het te voet gevlug.

Once again shows, that had he not been armed, he might have been the statistic.

Rather shoot to stop. This could lead to a fatality but the death of the attacker isn't our goal making him stop attacking us is.

Glad he survived but IMO going outside to investigate noises isn't the brightest move. Too many things to go wrong.

Whether your shooting to kill or shooting to stop him, just shoot him lots and the details will take care of themselves.

I never shoot to kill. I shoot only to stay alive. That is the sole and absolute purpose of my SD gun. Staying alive. Not killing. If someone gets killed in the process it is simply an unfortunate - but in some instances necessary - adjunct to my primary objective of staying alive.

An SD gun is nothing more or less than a means for me to give effect to my constitutionally protected right to life when the state is unable to do so for me. As the state cannot always be present at all times and at all places to protect my constitutional right to life I have to be able to do so myself. The right to life in our Bill of Rights is meaningless with the tools to give effect to it. An SD gun is one very effective way to protect my constitutional right to life.

I would like to know from GFSA and the like: How do you propose to protect my constitutional right to life once you have deprived me of one the most effective means of doing so for myself?
