    Default Sierra 300gr in 375

Does anybody have experience shooting the Sierra 300gr Gameking in 375H&H? I want to load them for my H&H and I have heard good things regarding accuracy and terminal performance. A load of 64gr S355 is where I am looking.

I helped my brother with load development on the same setup. Best load was at 65gr S335 which gave about 2450 fps if I remember correctly, agv group size consistent sub 1 MOA. He is extremely happy with the 300gr sierra GMK.

Methinks the load(64gr) is...............a bit weak.

Web I'm loading 67.5 @ 2438 on chrony with S355 lot 10 and that's with 300gr Vrg-3 peregrines "monometal" so they a bit longer than 300gr Sierras so 64 should be safe but rather start at about 62 and work up with a chrony! S355 is pretty constant compared to other powders of late (lot to lot), which lot is your S355 and what COL do you plan on using?

I have locked up my reloading room but I will dig the info out tomorrow. I am certain 64 gr is safe but it might be a bit weak. I will be shooting with a chrony over the weekend and then I will know. I am hoping for around 2450 - 2500.

I will look over the weekend. COL around the 90mm mark - will still play with that. The upper end of the scale with 355 is 67,5 gr

I like the consistency of 355. I use it in my 243 with awesome results.

That's according to somchem, I don't pay much attention to it and I only use it more of a guide and work from there using QL. 67.5 is very safe in my rifle buy it may not be in yours that's the problem with one person saying it's safe and another not.
