Till GFSA gets all the criminal elements to hand in thier firearms, and not have them sold back to up and coming criminals, I have no interest in what they say!

I have the right to protect myself and those around me, and there is no way the over taxed, understaffed police force can be there for me at all hours within the seconds it'll take for an attack to take place!

Hang on folks. Lets work with these people and ask them for the results in the reduction of crime since the FCA was implemented.

Maybe we should engage with them and just by asking the correct questions ( to which we know the answer) they can see the futlility of the FCA.

I see no point in making these people the enemy. Lets ask them questions and they may give us the very information we need to inform the public.

    VISION
A gun free South Africa. - I guess we can all dream.

    MISSION
To build a safe and secure nation in which
    1. no civilians carry guns - And only criminals do
    2. there is tight control on the use of firearms by security personnel - Ie those who regard rape, kidnapping, assault and extortion as "occupational perks"
    3. illegal guns are removed from society - what, like Steve Biko? Are you at all aware of the real gun politics on the ground?

    OBJECTIVES
The objectives of GFSA are to
    1. Promote a nation wide public awareness campaign - most people know how stupid you are already
    2. Defend the Firearms Control Act and monitor its implementation - Ie the 'state disarmament policy', interestingly linked to the branding of any grassroots opposition as 'criminals'.
    3. Promote the establishment of Gun Free and Firearm free Zones - would you like a palm reading with that?
    4. Provide research and analysis of the causes, consequences and effects of gun violence - 'gun violence' as somehow separate from 'violence'?
    5. Support community based initiatives dealing with gender based violence and vulnerable youth and gang violence. - I actually quite like this

    ANALYTICAL (ROFL!) FRAMEWORK
All objectives to impact on at least one of the following areas of focus
    1. those affected by gun violence
    2. the perpetrators of gun violence
    3. the production, sale and movement of firearms
    4. the environment that enables and /or protects against gun violence
