I wonder how a GFSA moron would respond if they were rescued/protected from a violent attack by an armed (with a firearm) civilian. Would they ask the rescuer to stop helping them & allow the assault/rape/murder of themselves/their family member/s to continue?
Maybe they should wear highly visible identification insignia so that members of the public &/or police force know that they don't need to assist them if they are being attacked.

I am a liberal, and take exception to somebody calling anybody at GiFSA liberal, morons yes, liberals no, take a look at wikipedia's definition and maybe you'll agree.
"liberalism is a political ideology that developed in the 19th century in England, Western Europe, and the Americas. It is committed to the ideal of limited government and liberty of individuals including freedom of religion, speech, press, and assembly, and free markets"

There are some parallels between liberalism and libertarianism - however, libertarianism has a anarchistic element to it whereby it dismisses social-contractarian theory in its pursuance of anti-regulation. Thus, is my view Joahnn is still in the liberal zone.
In fact, it may be argued that liberalism is more conducive to recognizing the freedom to own arms. As liberals argue against the over-regulation by government - lest you forget, it is government who limits gun ownership.
It is a common mistake to equate specific points of view with specific philosophical paradigms. Take the American author Hunter S. Thompson for example, he was an extreme liberal and hardcore democrat - but was also a self-confessed "gun freak".
The definition of liberalism does not change as much as it is misused.
I am with you Johann - I am definitely liberal - that does not mean that I do not see merit in gun ownership...
