Thanks Paul. I take it this instruction goes for all the Police in the country, and not just for the Free State.

The Directive is very well-considered... and accords exactly with what the Act actually says, and how we have always viewed it. I would be happy to fight on this basis. I doubt whether SAPS would be prepared to.

But what if our esteemed minister of hats klapped you with a 'shaddddup'? That would put you in your place.

The PDF (can't upload here) on the GOSA FB Group is the latest Directive from SAPS Legal telling SAPS officers to leave you the hell alone no matter what licence you have.

Thank you Paul. Gosa also have a letter regarding the use of hollow point bullets. Many SAPS members think it is illegal. Do you perhaps have a link.

I'll be grateful if it can be published here on Gunsite. I'll copy it and keep it on me when I'm carrying my S15 rollie which I like to do quite regularly to maintain familiarity with carrying it.

My apology all round - when I asked that someone post it somehow I'd managed to forget in a few seconds that Paul had posted the link. But anyhow, someone sent it to me; probably Paul. Many thanks - I'll print it tomorrow and carry it whenever I'm carrying my S15 rollie. Makes a joke of S13 but from my point of view I have to accept that the value of S13 is that I can have my pistol via S13 and my rollie via S15. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to have my two handguns without dedicated status.
