Default Warthogs now loose in Texas

I saw this in a hunting thread from Texas. Besides Nilgai, Gemsbok, Axis deer, and Barbary sheep, Texans can now count warthogs as established feral game animals.

Very fine hunting there in South Texas brush country. Big whitetail deer, razorback boars and javalinas there too.

Canned hunting works best if the cage is not upside down.

Warthog are not contained by fences. Not very clever to create a feral problem.

hehe...I am guessing that's going to be a problem. Be interesting to see in 5-10 years what the warthog populations look like if this isn't controlled.

Not many fences that hold a Warthog back.
One too many wasted sunsets and one too many for the road .........

yip....my December holiday up on the farm will largely be spent trying to put a dent into the local warthog population of Colesberg as they decimate fencing like crazy. They don't see fences...they see challenges....
