Air rifle pellets?

Hi

I want to know which pellets are better and more accurate to buy these days for shooting in a spring air rifle(Gamo CFX Royal)? Which will do better for hunting and which will be more accurate for target shooting?

Hi,

I honestly don't see the point in having different pellets for target and hunting... the most accurate pellets you can use will be the best for hunting! Also, if you switch pellets your POI is going to change, meaning you have to take time to adapt.

Buy high quality pellets (less variation in shape), try a few brands out as pellets respond differently in different rifles. Once you found a brand you like, stick with them and practise practise practise so you know exactly where your POI is at 10, 15, 20 etc... metres.

In my Air Arms TX200 my favourite pellet is JSB Exact 4.52, they gave excellent groupings.

JSB and Air Arms are the most consistent and accurate.

I use them for target shooting and hunting.

try jsb,crossman,handler and naterman and air arms.Also try the diablo boxers.Cfx rifels seem to like them.Wash and lube your pellets.Stick to 7-9gr.

A great pellet I would recommend would be the gamo pro magnum as they have high velocity, great impact and expansion. Great for hunting, and for target I would go for air arms 0.520
