He was very well known here in Durban, he is not an idiot nor an unskilled member of our police force. He served with distinction and was impeccably professional the many times we interacted together during our duties.

A very very sad day indeed.

Mr Medic - I don't think anybody is blaming the deceased member, rather the idiot who shot him and the RO who, on the face of it, was also negligent.

Never ever trust a fire arm handled by a human being unless the RO has given the OK after inspection.
