    Note that the one I bought is not listed on their website.

    It is the Les Stroud Bushman Axe and goes for R 1 999. Apparently Wetterling teamed up with Les to design this axe.

    They may well have others not listed.
    One too many wasted sunsets and one too many for the road .........

    Agreed

    They are always getting new ones in stock

    It is also good to note that Wetterlings is now owned by Gransfors Bruks who have taken over their two forges.

    They have stopped production on all wetterlings products. So if you want one, best to buy it now.

    They stopped production not because of quality issues but because the Wetterlings brand was interfering with the sale of the Granfors Bruks axes.

    There is a lot to the story and please dont see it as "Mighty Gransfors bought Wetterlings and closed them down"

    Ah, always good to know. I suppose market rationalisation happens in all fields.

    Indeed

    Husqvarna is also a decent brand (forged by Hultafors) and available in SA.

    I have two and they have held up well
