Default Mother and children killed, husband missing

@GFSA, please, explain to me like I am a 6 year old, how is a woman with a FA not safe? And DO NOT come with "this is an isolated incident"

JOHANNESBURG – A woman and her three young children, including a nine-month baby, were found dead with their throats slit in Tsakane, Ekurhuleni, Gauteng police said on Friday.
Captain Tsekiso Mofokeng said neighbours, who had not seen the family for days, made the gruesome discovery when they broke down the door of the home on Thursday.
“The neighbours had last seen the family on Sunday and became worried by Thursday when they could not reach them. They forced their entry into the house and found the mother and the three girls, aged seven, nine and 11 months lying dead in the house. Their throats had been slit,” said Mofokeng.
Investigators are looking for the woman’s husband who has also not been seen for days.
“We do not know where the husband is. Neighbours indicated they had not seen the family since the weekend. We are looking for him to help us solve this case and urge appeal him to contact the police,” Mofokeng said.

GFSA are very keen on ignoring the national statistic relating to homicides, viz. that nearly 85% of them are caused with sharp objects.

Since this is addressed to GFSA, I felt sarcasm was warranted. I feel very bad for the family.

Our daily press has made deaths an everyday normal matter in south africa.
I like to see us here take the loss of life very seriously and to show this in the proper manner and not trivialise murder and loss of innocent lives.

Let's not demonise sharp objects either. The darkness in the heart(s) committed the murders. Not the object(s) by which it was done. This is a tragedy that someone will have to answer for.

This is so true. What happened here is terribly sad. I can just imagine what the family is going through now... But, I still wonder why if a husband kills his wife, why must he also take the children with? Surely they will be cared for by other family members? That is if he is guilty in this case.
