Sunday 17 April - IFTA Club - Grading Shoot

To all IFTA Club Members,

Kindly note that the upcoming shoot this Sunday (17 April) at IFTA Krugersdorp, will be a Grading Shoot. Range will be open from 09h00.

Minimum ammunition requirements:

Handgun : 50 rounds per course of fire.
Self Loading Rifle / Carbine : 50 rounds per course of fire.
Shotgun : 20 rounds

The qualification shoots may be done twice if necessary, and the average score shall be used for grading so as to ensure consistency.
Members can partake in either a single or all disciplines.


Grading/Qualification levels:

0% - 64% : DNQ
65% - 69% : Level 1 - Basic Level
70% - 80% : Level 1 - Basic Level (minimum qualification for Range Officer level)
81% - 90% : Level 2 - Intermediate Level
91% – 100% : Level 3 - Advanced Level

The range will be open afterwards. Refreshments will be available.

I am an IFTA shooter from Cape Town. I recently moved to the area and I am interested in joining this club. Does the club have a website with upcoming events, etc?

I would just like to get an idea of when there are shoots and at what times is the range open.

Apologies for the late reply, I'm out of the country at the moment and internet sucks at best of times.

Yes, we have a club calendar which I can email to you. It is updated from time to time with additional shoots and events.

The usual 'open range' days are on the first Thursday of a month (18h00 - late) and third Sunday (09h30 - 12'ish or later, depending on what we do that day). League, 3-gun, steel, clays, fun shoots, long distance etc are usually scheduled over weekends, somewhere inbetween.

Come around on the next open day and introduce yourself to any of the instructors/range officers. We can take the rest from there.
