Re: .380 Auto Carry Ammo
Lol, so I've got the best of the worst.. Speer gold dot...
I see the Leigh high xtreme penetrator want there.. I've seen some interesting vids on it.. Good penetration, good wound channel..
Not sure of the draw backs..
Used to carry Hydroshocks, can't find them anymore though..

Re: .380 Auto Carry Ammo
After reading through these rather old posts, I decided to keep my Beretta mod 84 exclusively for the range. I have very old Speer Gold dot ammo and will keep them for a Just In Case scenario.. Comparing this to my Glock 26 with Ranger T's theres no comparison. And even with a mere 2.6gr of a very fast burning powder the gun is pretty snappy and unpleasant for tiny people like my daughter.

Re: .380 Auto Carry Ammo
The 380 auto has always been a rather difficult gun to shoot. Most 380's have a pure blowback operation with zero lockup, making recoil quite significant. With the exception of the Glock 25, I have never fired any 380acp with "acceptable" recoil. I even tried using 115grain CMJ's on my Hungarian copy of the Walther PPK (SMC-380) but it makes little difference.
