Just for interest, why would you say that?

Most definitely not. Same with my Stag Arms, which by all accounts is still a cheap, entry level AR (albeit well made).

If you're using your sporting equipment to protect yourself against zombies, your most important considerations should be whether it will reliably cycle a wide variety of crap ammunition and whether it would be able to do that even when it's drenched in rotting zombie intestinal juices.

I would still like to know why you say that the CQA are "combat ready"? And what exactly makes an AR15 "Combat worthy/ready" anyway?
Just asking for interest sake as I've wonder about this before and I still wonder why civvies would want a "combat" AR?

I would think that the round counts on some of the sport rifles used in 3GN in the states for example will be just as high as some service rifles and with the same sort of reliability. Although not in as harsh of conditions as Afghanistan etc. but also in dusty and sometimes wet and muddy conditions.

Yeah, the Stag definitely isn't mil spec. Then neither is the DD, but it's closer.

Which model Stag? And what exactly constitutes mil-spec? Barrels? Receivers?

Purely from a build quality perspective. They are not in the Colt region of quality.

Rre-check my post, I never said the CQA was combat ready, in fact the opposite.
