Re: Who's carrying a G43? Impressions
I don't own a 43 but I did put about 4 mags through marshy's 43 last week.targets were at 5&7 metres.was a mix of deliberate slow fire to see how it groups and some quicker work, not lightning but reasonably quick.ammo used was 115gr s&b ball.
To say the 43 surprised me would be an understatement! For close up work it us more than capable and helluva accurate.
I used the first shot as a 'sighter'.it was low but centred.subsequent shots made for some very tight groupings.
Marshy has his 43 set up just right I might add in terms of the trigger and sights.all in all its very viable edc option albeit somewhat of a compromise in terms of capacity.
Will post pics of the targets shortly.

Will post a picture later today if I remember. Sight works well enough but feels a bit "high" above the slide. Not sure if it will pair up with other front sights.
BigT, in this case, what would meet your (quantitative?) measure of "thoroughly"?
Anywhere locally I can buy magazine springs, separately if possible? Or will it be the personal import and SA Post Office gamble?

Re: Who's carrying a G43? Impressions
The Taran +2 adapters I got came with their specific spring in the kit. I agree with BigT, if you are planning on fitting anything more than a +1 you may have issues. I believe that this is why the +2 comes with a replacement spring. Actually, I would probably get a replacement spring even with the +1 just to be sure. My G43 loves my reloads and I have been testing factory ammo too. Wait! Let me just make sure my G43 is there. Yes, it's still there and I'm in my office chair, can't even feel it. IS that a good thing!??
