Default Invitation: "Gunshot Wounds- a Pathologist's Perspective"

    Greetings all

Some of you guys in Joburg might be interested in coming. Tomorrow night forensic pathologist Prof. J. Vellema will be giving a presentation to paramedics on gunshot wounds, from an autopsy perspective. It is very unlikely to be one of those dry lectures and there should be bunch of interesting photos. If you are interested in seeing what bullets do to the human body you might want to come. If you're interested, please reply or PM me so that I can give them numbers. We might even score some free snacks!

Prof. Vellema is Head of Forensic Pathology at the University of the Witwatersrand Medical School. She has a special interest in terminal ballistics and has testified as an expert witness on numerous occasions.

Venue: San Souci Hotel- On the right of the traffic circle next to Milpark Hospital. Guild Road; Parktown; JHB
    Date 6 November
    Time: 18h00
If you decide to come, ask around for Dave or the Stinky Porra (I am unfortunately known by both those names)

    Dave

Dave or should I say Stinky Porra,

If I was within a 200km raduis, you would have had my PM in your inbox already for a front row seat.....I would have loved to attend something like this.....

For those that do go....I envy you..............

There was a very intesting thread about this; I think it was on the Smith and Wesson forums where a county pathologist shared his views and experience on the gunshot wounds he encountered (a slow and heavy bullet guy). Will try and find it.
