Default Easter weekend - Transkei riding

I was on an off road biking weekend in the Transkei over the Easter long weekend.

Broke my ankle and tore ligaments off the bone on the Saturday afternoon. Hopped around the rest of the weekend and could only get to medical care on Tuesday afternoon. 16 mates and some booze made it still all enjoyable, but not how I planned my weekend

I don't have my own bike. I was riding a KTM 450 off road comp bike.

hehehe, nope...we were 'just' going for a quick afternoon ride. Some of the party had done a big 36km ride in the morning and a quick little afternoon scramble was on the cards before settling in for the evening.
I was wearing a helmet and gloves but decided not to put boots or chest protector on.
Won't make that mistake again - this definitely would not have been the result if I was wearing boots.
